Join Our Twitter Chat about Business Disaster Preparedness
The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) is taking part in our first Twitter chat! We have been invited by the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) and their publication, tED Magazine (the Electrical Distributors), to join them in their monthly industry chat to talk about disaster preparation. The hour-long Twitter chat will be held on Mon, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. (EST). The chat is open to the public, and we invite you to follow or join in.
All you need to do to follow the Twitter chat is search for Tweets with the hashtags #tEDchat. If you want to provide a comment, be sure to include this hashtag at the end of your tweet, so it will be included in the conversation. IBHS staff will be serving as subject matter experts in the chat, joining in from our main Twitter handle, @disastersafety. tED will moderate the discussion from the @TEDMagazine Twitter handle, starting with questions submitted by tED readers.
Planned disaster preparation subjects for this Twitter chat include best practices, what different companies are doing, hazard mitigation, and how social media is being used. Check out details of previous #tEdChats by searching for that hashtag in Twitter, or by visiting www.tedmag.com.
NAED is the trade association for the $70+ billion electrical distribution industry. Through networking, education, research, and benchmarking, NAED helps electrical distributors increase profitability and improve the channel. NAED’s membership operates in approximately 4,400 locations internationally.
